Dr. August Leming attended Columbia University, where he earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. Dr. Leming played football for over a decade and competed as a Division I-AA athlete while studying at Columbia. He completed his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Seton Hall University, where he also served as an adjunct professor, teaching Adolescent Psychology, Child Psychology, and Statistics Dr. Leming’s pioneering academic work earned him the American Psychological Association’s Outstanding Professional Development Award. He has been invited to speak at the American Psychological Association, Eastern Psychological Association and a number of colleges and universities, most recently Yale University.
In 1996, Dr. Leming founded Ivy League Health and Fitness, Inc. and currently serves as the President and Director of Programming for the SOURCE Institute for Human Performance.

Dr. August Leming was raised in New Jersey and attended Columbia University, where he earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. Dr. Leming currently holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. While at Seton Hall, Dr. Leming served as an adjunct professor, teaching a wide variety of courses including Adolescent Psychology, Child Psychology, and Statistics. He also worked with the graduate psychology department, teaching advanced Tests and Measurement.
While acting as an adjunct, Dr. Leming developed a pioneering academic experience for undergraduate students, titled Volunteering: The Personal, Social, and Business Implications of Giving Back. He is a recipient of the American Psychological Association’s Outstanding Professional Development Award and has presented at the annual meetings of both the American Psychological Association and Eastern Psychological Association on various topics including: meditation, spirituality, academic performance, and moral development.
In 1996, Dr. Leming founded Ivy League Health and Fitness, Inc. He currently serves as President and Director of Programming for the SOURCE Institute for Human Performance, a subsidiary of Ivy League Health. Dr. Leming holds elite certifications as both a Performance Enhancement Specialist under the National Academy of Sports Medicine and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist under the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Leming is also a continuing education provider for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, teaching a first-of-its-kind course on the psychology of coaching.
Dr. Leming has trained, motivated, and educated thousands of individuals and teams. The SOURCE Instiute’s client list boasts both budding and professional athletes, Fortune 500 C.E.O.s, and the health industry’s leading professionals. Dr. Leming has been invited to speak at the Stillman School of Business on the Campus of Seton Hall University, The College of St. Elizabeth, The College of New Jersey, and most recently, Yale University.
Throughout his training as a counselor, Dr. Leming has worked with children, adolescents, the college population, and older adults. As a pre-doctoral intern, Dr. Leming worked with incarcerated adult males in Trenton, New Jersey, specializing in the treatment of alcohol and drug addiction, re-entry issues, and family therapy.
Dr. Leming views himself as a visionary and guide for the human experience. As an expert in human motivation, Dr. Leming begins by facilitating the individual’s definition of personal success. He invites people to consider the lessons that are held within their own lives, bodies, and hearts. Teacher and student work together to apply a unique and synergistic combination of psychology, spirituality, and physical education toward a higher level of performance. What began as a journey of self-discovery has become a life-long commitment to serving others. Through the arts of public speaking, authorship, therapy, and physical movement, Dr. Leming facilitates clarity and strength in others.

Coach Dave Nogaki grew up in New Jersey and attended Bergenfield High School. He was an all-county wrestler at B.H.S. and was heavily recruited by Division I-AA college football teams as a running back and defensive back. Coach Nogaki holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University with a minor in Pre-medical Studies. While a student at Columbia, Dave was a member of the National Engineering Honor Society.
Coach Nogaki founded Great Spirit, Inc. in 1996, and he currently serves as Director of Training for the SOURCE Institute for Human Performance. Coach Nogaki has over 15 years of experience as a strength, conditioning, and speed coach, including approximately 30,000 hours of individual and team training. He is an elite physical preparation coach, holding certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Club Coach with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the USA Weightlifting Association, respectively.
Over the last 10 years, Coach Nogaki has developed a holistic system of training which incorporates modalities from various fields, such as applied kinesiology, soft tissue therapy, nutrition, applied functional science, meridian energy balancing, and neurosomatic therapy. Committed to life-long learning, Coach Nogaki stays on the cutting edge of the science of training by traveling around the country to study with the nation’s top Olympic strength coaches and natural health practicioners. Coach Nogaki has also created and implemented wellness programs for Fortune 500 companies, reaching over 7,000 employees.
Coach Nogaki believes that the most honorable way to spend one’s time is by serving others. His personal goal is simple: to learn as much as possible about health and to share this information with others so that they may lead better lives. His professional mission is to help elevate the consciousness of the fitness and performance industries. His holistic system of training incorporates three areas of health: the structural, the chemical, and the spiritual.
Coach Nogaki’s system has been written about in Fortune magazine and other national publications. He sees himself not only as a trainer and strength coach, but also as a mentor and healer. Coach Nogaki has practiced yoga and meditation since he was eight years old and continues to enjoy studying eastern philosophy and incorporating its lessons of wisdom and compassion into his life’s work as a Performance Coach.
