My time spent working with the SOURCE Institute provided an hour or two in which everything in my world, whether social, academic, or physiological in nature, seemed to make complete sense. The more time I spent training with the SOURCE Institute, the more I noticed the coherence that seemed to seep into all aspects of my everyday life. The support, strength, and wisdom that I accumulated from my time spent with the SOURCE Institute continues to be an invaluable and integral part of my everyday life.

I have worked with the Source Institute now for almost 2 years and the progress I have made with them has been amazing. I have had the opportunity to work with many coaches and no one has even come close to matching the experience I have had with the SOURCE Institute. The past year I have been playing and training with the Virginia Tech football team. Virginia Tech is known to have one of the best weight lifting programs in the nation; however, I have made much greater gains with the SOURCE Institute. I have become more flexible and much stronger than I could have ever imagined. This past summer I was told to gain 6 pounds of muscle before I came back to Virginia Tech. After a lot of hard work and excellent coaching at the SOURCE Institute, I didn’t just gain 6 pounds but I was able to put on 12 pounds of muscle. As soon as I walked onto the field, all the coaches noticed and congratulated me on a great summer. I owe it all to the SOURCE Institute and their training program, nutrition program, and support every step of the way. If you want to become a better athlete and are willing to work hard, train with the SOURCE Institute because they will help you capture your dream.

When I was in the sixth grade, I developed hip pain and it seemed that no one could pinpoint what the cause was or how to fix it. After 6 six years of pain, frustration, and over 300 physical therapy sessions, I was lucky enough to be directed to the SOURCE Institute for Human Performance. Now, after less than two months with the SOURCE, my hips are feeling great! I am returning to playing soccer, and I couldn't be more excited! I wholeheartedly recommend the SOURCE Institute for Human Performance to anyone who wants real answers and lasting results.

As the Captain and a Gold Medal winner with the United States Lacrosse team, I have competed at the highest level of competitive sport. This being my final season with the team I had my concerns about my health and performance capabilities. The Source Institute's comprehensive approach to strength and conditioning allowed me to play healthy, play to the best of my ability and win a World Championship! I highly recommend the SOURCE Institute for injury prevention and rehabilitation and strength, conditioning, and speed development. They are simply the best!

I am grateful to have had the experience of training with the SOURCE Institute for two years while in high school. They helped me rehab an injury, increased my flexibility, and taught me advanced lifting techniques which gave me a real advantage for Division I basketball. When I showed up at camp, the coaches were impressed with my strength and experience in the gym. This gave me an excellent confident boost as I began the season. Thanks to all my SOURCE Institute Coaches.

I came to the Source Institute in January after two years of knee pain. I had been fitted for a brace, on crutches, and limping from place to place with no explanation of what was affecting my knee. My injury had greatly damaged my self-image and my confidence. After only six months of rehab and guided exercises, as well as a restructured diet and eating schedule, I was healthier than I had been in years. The Source Institute is more than a specialized group of physical trainers; they are a whole-body wellness organization that is dedicated to helping people overcome physical ailments and improve overall health. I am incredibly thankful to all the Source Coaches for giving me back my mobility and my confidence.

My training with the SOURCE Institute has proven to be a truly invaluable experience. The physical training, particularly the emphasis on stabilization and flexibility, elevated my athletic performance to new heights. Furthermore, the SOURCE Coaches consistently emphasized technical aspects of training, while providing explanations of their necessity and instilling healthy training habits, which many of my coaches have noticed. I also benefited greatly from the psychological component of training sessions, as many of the concepts can be applied to daily life and in competition. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, my discussions with Dr. Leming were exceptionally stimulating; my decision to double major in sports medicine and psychology was largely influenced by my time spent with him.

I have two boys, one in middle school and the other in high school, and I have utilized the Source Institute of Human Performance in three very different ways. First, for my older son, who is a competitive basketball player, I utilized them to provide some corrective exercise for knee and body alignment issues which had hampered his play for two years. After eight weeks of work with several of the members of the Source staff, he has been pain free for six months which has now allowed him to concentrate on other aspects of his game. Secondly, my middle schooler attended a two-week speed and agility camp and found the workouts enhanced his performance on his travel baseball team this past summer. Lastly, I have contracted SOURCE for additional work to be done with my older son to supplement the team work that the Source provides for varsity and junior varsity players of his high school basketball team. Throughout both of my sons' experiences, they found their coaches at the Source Institute to be knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and committed to their development. They look forward to increasing their time spent under the direction of the coaches at the Source Institute throughout their athletic careers. I would encourage any parent with a student / athlete to put aside any previous notions about "personal trainers" and have a serious conversation about how the Source team of coaches can assist their son or daughter in establishing and achieving their personal and athletic goals and objectives.

As a physical therapist, I must say that I am extremely impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the SOURCE Performance Coaches. I took my daughter, Katherine, to SOURCE for an injury prevention assessment and biomechanical evaluation. Our performance coach explained how the results were related to Katherine's current symptoms, her potential to develop an injury, and her ability to reach her athletic potential. It was very enlightening to talk with someone who understood both the clinical and the training aspects of being an athlete. We are looking forward to working with the SOURCE Institute and expect a long lasting and rewarding relationship. I am extremely grateful to have the guidance of the SOURCE Institute for what is most precious to me... the health and well-being of my children.

Doctor August Leming has worked with three of our children, helping them to reach their full potential as athletes. August and his team at the SOURCE Institute approach each athlete individually, designing a program to increase their physical capabilities while giving them the psychological framework to successfully compete at the highest level. They design each workout program around the individual’s goals and objectives; making it possible for the athlete to judge his or her own progress, feel a sense of ownership in the training and retain an extremely high level of enthusiasm.

I’ve been going to SOURCE for three months now, and my arm is so much better. Yesterday I was able to do 20 minutes of boxing, plus weightlifting with my arms, and there’s no pain today. None! Two years of treatments from my physician weren’t able to fix the chronic pain, and in just 12 sessions, I’m fixed. I can’t say enough about your program, and how much the SOURCE Institute has helped me. I don’t think I properly realized how much my arm troubles were holding me back until they were gone. Thank you, truly.

After a life time of minor back problems, I thought it was all over when I totally blew out my back playing softball. My doctor suggested that I minimize my movement and accept that I would have to severely limit my athletic future. Needless to say I was quite depressed and extremely scared. Fortunately, a friend referred me to the SOURCE Institute for an assessment of my situation. I was immediately impressed by the thoroughness and depth of the evaluation. My Performance Coach analyzed all the aspects of my structural, functional, and chemical make-up that were possible factors in my injury. I then realized that it was not an accident that I found myself in this present situation. Instead, it was the result of a progression of events over many years. My coach then outlined a holistic rehabilitation plan in which I would not only return to health and athletics, but would be better than ever. This filled me with hope, faith, and confidence and the results began immediately. When I returned to my doctor two weeks later, he couldn’t believe the improvement. Now, I am running, jumping, playing soccer and softball and feeling fantastic! Thank you SOURCE for restoring my life. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who wants to feel and perform at their best to The SOURCE Institute for Human Performance.
